There is a piece of sculpture that rests on a table in my study. It is a daily reminder that art is a journey. Indeed this piece of art has made its destination to the table in my study, but this art and my soul are on a journey together. My emotions, my feelings, my sentiments, all change and coexist with this piece almost every day. I looked at the sculpture one evening recently as I placed a special album on my turntable. The music that filled the room, the wine I tasted on my lips, the fragrance of the flowers placed on my desk by my wife, the aroma of fresh bread in the oven, the light reflecting off the wall, they all worked in harmony to enliven my soul in a most profound way. The feelings we shared together, this piece of art and myself, were different several months before as I looked at it the morning my eldest son had passed away. That day it seemed to walk with me and accompany me in my pain. I think life changes with art and life changes through art, alongside of art. Art enlivens my soul.

The Omaire Gallery embraces and celebrates this ideology. Art is less of a destination, but more a journey and the journey will forever be to enliven the soul. It is to bring new life, new energy, new sensibilities to the spirit. It is to enliven the soul through the artists, their art, and the connectivity with both, as well as with others who are on the same journey with us. It is about seeking and enjoying the journey of that seeking. And it is about sharing. An interesting truth about art is that, when viewed as such, art, in particular the art one might own, is always in a state of accompanying one on a journey. Life changes with art and life changes through art. Indeed it is a journey. And it can be and should be a journey that enlivens the soul. We feel our role at Omaire will be to always remember that truth. We want to always seek those special artists who feel the same way. It is deeper than external beauty; it goes much deeper. It is this journey that we want to experience and it is this journey we want to share.

We will forever be on a journey to enliven the soul.
